10.22.09 NIKE HUMAN RACE NYC packet pick up!

...So this DUDE said he would run with me!! ..... he's got nice legs and arms!! ... the headless runner! HA!

...another beautiful day in NYC!! ... had to be atleast 85* not bad for OCt! ...again this year... nike has us heading to NIKE TOWN for the Human Race packet pick up... beats waiting in line on race day..... this way...we can have our shirts on and chips tied to our sneakers... the race is 8am unlike last year @6PM... we will be heading back to the city for the race on Sat 10.24... ((so we thought!?).... ok..., scroll down to see what happened! ...thanks to Uncle Billy for the company to NY... even if we almost missed the train by a minute!! (( lost Billy in Grand Central just before the train was pulling out..... NIGHTMARE!!.. lost and found all good.. (MY FAULT THO)... no express available... it was a long ride /STOP n GO... home back to New Haven !!!!!... got a good NAP at least!...we added NANNY this year to our bibs... more angel wings on our sneakers!

OK... SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... the rain held us back... 4:30am about to get in the car to drive 2 hours... the rain on Sat morning was COMPLETE DOWN POUR which never let up!!!... we all were text messaging.. as to what to do???... and THE VOTE WAS unanimous to stay home and go back to bed!! ... the worst rain imaginable... so we have our shirts and will be doing a 10k on our own....!! ill add photos shortly!!

Hartford HALF marathon 10.10.09 ...WE DID IT!!!

we saw UNITED HEALTH CARE signs all over the place... Dave was certainly there in spirit!

Hartford HALF marathon Michele Yurgaitis Joyce Ryan Kevin Davis & Chicago Marathon 2009 Jenn Yamin and friends ...running for DAVE!

THIS WEEKEND!!! send us all some good vibes!!..... Its a year later and the Hartford Half is tomorrow! ... we will see how it goes... Last year Joyce was no where to be found after collapsing on the sideline.... not even a half a mile into the start time of the race.... only to find out later that was her on the stretcher headed to the ER.... she broke her FEMUR!! OUCH!! she is back determined this year to finish and do her personal best!!!!!!! My brother Kevin is in the HALF this year.. un like last year... the race filled up as they were on line the day before... sweating to grab a spot in race... and it CLOSED! heartbroken... and disappointed......he and his wife Tina settled for the ING 5k.. and did fabulous... but back again by the skin of his teeth... Tina signed him up... and he is ready for a challenge....!! as for me.. well... im looking forward to another blING AND for some water at the finish line........ also:....Dave will be running this weekend in CHICAGO... thanks to JENN YAMIN...and her team of 6 ... taking on the challenge of a FULL 26.2 miles....to run the Chicago Marathon on Sunday.. they have been training for months..... thats 39.3 miles of angel wings on our sneakers!!!!!! THANKS GIRLS!!!!!

...what a beautiful day it turned out to be for the apple harvest parade! thank you Papa for being the girls choffer for the really cool sports car... and thank you to Uncle Frankie for letting us use your convertible!!!.... what was really ironic is that our Dance studio was in line just behind us!! and Chase was in the parade after all!!! gooooo ELITE DANCE!!!
