And Aunite Christine for being our cab and MiMi G for coming along for the ride! Daddy would be so proud of his little girl... July 4th ... summer of 93' ... I met Dave!

15 years ago on July 4th … Dave and I met on the beaches of Newport Rhode Island. I can remember it so clear like it was just yesterday. Handsome tall blue eyed guy looking all smug/ cool with his curly hair all gelled and styled…hanging with all his buddies at 2nd Beach!…This group of guys stole the show down there that year! THE RED HOUSE on the corner was the most famous rented house of all… occupied by the most entertaining good looking bunch of guys us girls have ever seen!.. Soon our blankets and theirs met .. Dave was a little shy .. And took him a few hours to come eat our food...(I KNOW…hard to believe that one!) As the others were all diving into our coolers and bags of chips..… (Dave’s childhood friend Kevin) began to put on a show... with his crazy little antics and practical jokes & spoofs on his friends... then turned them on us!.. They had us cracking up for the rest of the summer!!!……..I was most interested in this quiet one with the du-rag … Dave actually started that trend there that summer... I can remember getting the scoop from one of Dave’s good friends... Finding out what his status was?… single?? … YEP!… and the rest was history! ….I will always remember the laughs the good times... lemon ice, Christies outside bar and grill where we actually officially set up our first date ... while Dave was chowing down a chicken sandwich ... leaving me to chat for minutes with his good friend JJ ... he stuffed his face and finished it down with a beer... then we got to know each other better …. I will never forget the question I asked him… “what is your last name again?”...YUR-GITE-IS????? (I often would talk to myself repeating Yurgaitis in my head over and over again wondering how that would sound?.... Michele Yurgaitis? Michele Yurgaitis?.. Going from Davis to Yurgaitis?..even if I thought his last name a bit strange... I knew I was going to marry him... and often thought my future kids would always be last in line... but that’s ok… LOL…)…the parking tickets…slice of pizza and a shared diet coke…“A dinner and a movie“…. "FRAZZLE" ROCK on Sundays…I feel sick…the drive through window at POPE STREET….what do you have to eat?…climbing out windows… is there any room in here?… meet ya later…can I use your bathroom?, "yours is cleaner.. “You look like Bo Derek from the ankles down“..…beach sand… I’ll walk you home… coming back next weekend?…I have to watch my dog? WHAT DOG????…fake teeth… are those your real blue eyes?...white jeep with the splash.. and the list goes on and on and on…summer of 93!….I miss you Hun and will never forget... X0X0X0

...i SCREAM for ICE-CREAM!!

...the music you can hear from neighborhoods away.... the kids have bionic ears when it comes to the DING DONG CART!.... brings back memories of last year when the truck would pull down the street quite often and Dave would say..." ohh nooooooooo NOT AGAIN!!.... the kids usually would run to Daddy and pull his wallet off the counter and hand it to him... "pick from the dollar menu kids"!!... LOL.... always had to laugh at that... cuz the kids always wanted the ones with gumballs for eyes.... and those were always more expensive!!!.. well the truck came down the street the other day.. I think the first time of the season.. and the kids were thrilled... I let them get what ever they wanted... and told them they had to share with Daddy!!!
